Chrystal Doucette
Thank you for visiting DigitalSoaps!
I am surprisingly backward on the gaming scene - I own a PS2 console and a NES/SNES combo console. My prefered platform is actually the computer.
My name is Chrystal Doucette, and I started DigitalSoaps in January 2009 on a whim. Before soap, my passion was journalism. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in journalism in 2005, and a Master of Arts Degree in communication in 2008.
When I was younger, my dad took me to Computer City. A trip highlight included the chocolate 5.25-inch floppy disks the store sold. With a desire to relive my past, I checked online to see if anyone still sold the chocolate disks. I didn't find any. But during my research, I found plenty of chocolate molds shaped like electronics. This discovery sparked the idea of making soap. I was already a fan of handmade soap, so the two ideas merged well.
My first video game-themed soap, a PlayStation 2 replica controller, received so much attention, I decided to start making more video game controller replicas. I was able to leave the 24-7 world of news reporting for a more empowering existence.
When you buy a soap from me, you are supporting a small business and you are supporting the original artist of these types of soaps.
I would consider myself a geek. Not as hardcore as some of my customers, but geeky nonetheless.
